Stiles Machinery says the Homag airTec allows wood products manufacturers to apply seamless, zero joint edgebanding on work surfaces, cabinet doors and other components with the finest precision and accuracy. The airTec features a reactivation unit that uses compressed, heated air to activate the adhesive layer. With this technology, air is propelled through a nozzle as the edgebanding material passes through the magazine, fusing the material to the panel edge. This method is both innovative and affordable, Stiles says, because it can be integrated into existing control systems. airTec also can eliminate redundant processes and operator work time.

The technology will be on display in Booth 5035 at IWF 2016.
