The SMART Series 2 machines from NewCNC.com feature a continuous welded, stress relieved, all steel machine frame, says the company. The vacuum table has a dual layered 4 zone phenolic grid with twin 7.5 HP vacuum pumps. It features (4) pop up edge locators for fast and easy positioning of sheet stock, adds the company. The heart of the machine is a 12.6 HP combination router/shaper spindle using HSK-63 toolholders with integrated 8 position ride along carousel tool changer. It is controlled by the OSAI Open Industrial controller with tool compensation functions (radius and length) and control features on the fly over ride for feed rate and spindle speed and auto tool length measurement. NewCNC is compatible with all CAD/CAM software, says the company. Options include rotary axis, drill banks, mortise and tenon side fixtures and complete custom configurations.
