Thermwood's multi-purpose 45 three-axis CNC router is available with either single or dual spindles. It is used for the machining of composites, tooling boards, plastic sheets, aluminum, cabinets, solid wood, millwork, phenolic, display fixtures, nested based panels, and much more. With a 12 HP HSD spindle and available in a variety of table sizes, the router features an optional rotary axis, fixed steel high-flow table with moving gantry, four-position bar-style automatic tool changer, 3D laser-compensated axis alignment, control nesting, Siemens Intelligent servo drives, and QCore super-control.

Powered by an HSD FS915 5hp spindle, ShopBot’s Automatic Tool Changer (ATC) is available on the company's full size PRSalpha Gantry CNC tools. An ATC automatically changes cutters between tool paths and eliminates the need for the CNC operator to change and zero tools individually. The company says a machine equipped with an ATC can perform operations normally done on other pieces of equipment, eliminating the need for additional machines in the shop.

ShopBot's full-size PRSalpha CNC is a gantry-based router that uses advanced technology for CNC cutting, drilling, carving, and machining of wood, plastic, aluminum and other materials. Available in traditional shop-size and larger, all full size gantry tools are available with 8- or 14-in. Z travel. In addition to standard size tools, ShopBot says it can build a tool to any dimension up to 10 by 30 ft and with plunge depths up to 24 in.

IMA Schelling says its new Novimat Compact R3 return system can handle all aspects of edge processing. Automated for one-person operation, the optional Imalux laser offers zero seam edge processing for an optimal finished product. It features variable feed speeds up to 20 m/min. and quick glue change via the IMA quick-lock system. Coiled materials can be applied with glue such as EVA or PUR and it includes additional units for grooving or smoothing operations.

Rockler's vacuum clamp pod kit holds workpieces securely from underneath, allowing unobstructed access to the entire surface for tasks like edge routing, sanding, planing, and CNC carving. The clamps work on nearly any workpiece with at least one flat face, as small as about four inches square. Incorporating a ball valve that allows individual pods to be used without the need to remove others from the series, the pods can be connected to additional pods for applications where a wider clamping base is needed. Available from JKL Machinery, the Jet Optima T5 comes with the new motorized IMC panel supports for quick setup and fast positioning for different shapes and thicknesses. The Buddy uses moving decks that are available with either a 24 by 32 in. work area or a 24 by 48 in. work area and can be expanded with the use of a PowerStick attachment to lengths up to 8 ft.
