Slab flattening mill

The MB100 SlabMizer slab flattening mill from Wood-Mizer flattens material up to 36” wide and 8” thick in less time using a 3HP electric 5" cutting head equipped with five 4-sided carbide knives. For wider material, Wood-Mizer offers the MB200 SlabMizer capable of processing material up to 56” or 72” wide. To flatten material, the cutter head is moved side-to-side with a handle and secured with pre-set notches.

Warping after re-saw.

I have been a hobby woodworker for 40 years but never experienced this problem. Dressed S4S 2x6 wormy maple and started re-sawing the first of eight pieces. After re-sawing the first piece, it immediately warped. The question is how do you re-saw before dressing? How can you avoid this or is it not possible? I am making 30” high coopered doors, and I was planning on re-sawing to 1 x 6 and then ripping 1-1/4” strips. So ending up with 3/4” x 1-1/4” x 30” long pieces to cooper. But they have to be straight to accomplish this, and I’m getting off to a bad start. Has anyone any suggestions?
