SANDED TOO MUCH...?

Hello! I am working on re-staining a three legged table and unfortunately, the first layer of veneer kind of got sanded a bit too much and now I have three places that are a different shade than the rest. So far, I've only sanded this once (80 grit orbital sander) so I will be sanding with finer grit (e.g. 100, 120, 150). Because the veneer is so thin, I was wondering if you had any suggestions about what I should do at this point. I'd like to minimize the damage but also keep the veneer from coming off. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you :)

Delta miter gauge

Hello. I am new to woodworking. I recently bought my first table saw. It's a Delta table saw (not sure of the model). My question is, what is the hole in the top of the miter gauge that came with the saw for?

The Cylinder base shape is manufactured from multiple layers of heavyweight paperboard, with a similar density to MDF. Each shape measures 34.5 in. in height and features recessed panels for bevel, bead, cove, and square style tambour up to 1/2 in. thick.
