Office-contract companies report lower shipments in quarterly survey

HOLLAND, Mich. – Office and contract furniture producers reported lower shipments and other business indicators, according to Michael A. Dunlap & Associates, LLC in its quarterly MADA/OFI Trends Survey completed in April. The survey measures the current business activity of the commercial (office, education, healthcare, and hospitality) furniture industry and its suppliers.

74,000 attendees packed the halls of 2019 interzum

COLOGNE, Germany - interzum, the world’s leading trade fair for furniture production and interior design, held in Cologne, drew to an end on Friday, May 24, 2019.
 
For four full days, interzum served as a source of inspiration for the design of future living spaces and presented the technical, haptic and visual refinements with which tomorrow’s furniture will set new standards.

Closet and garage upgrades are in high demand

The 2019 State of the Industry study commissioned by Closets & Organized Storage magazine found that closet accessories, from shoe cubbies to jewelry inserts are in high demand. Garage upgrades from hanging racks, flooring, lockers and overhead bins are also in demand.
