Deckorators, the decking brand of UFP Industries, announced plans for a new $70 million manufacturing facility that will double the production capacity of the company's Surestone technology. Once completed, the site will cover roughly 30 acres on which will be two buildings providing some 240,000 square feet of manufacturing space – to form a state-of-the-art campus.

HARRISBURG, Pa. — Miter Brands plans to close its Simi Valley Manufacturing facility in early June as part of a strategic initiative to streamline operations and enhance efficiency. The company says this decision allows the company to optimize its manufacturing footprint while ensuring continued service and support for its valued dealer partners.Local reports say that around 400 or so people who work there will be affected. The plant, which makes the company's Milgard products, is one of Simi Valley's biggest employers and has been for decades.
