Woodworking Machinery Industry Assn. names CEO

Michael Battaglia

Michael Battaglia has been appointed to chief executive officer of the Woodworking Machinery Industry Assn. (WMIA).

Battaglia's role will include management of the day-to-day operations and team members of WMIA, as well as strategic planning and growth of the association as determined by the Board.  He has 14 years of association management experience, and is familiar with the existing WMIA team, and will be able to step right in. 

Battaglia currently holds the Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential, the Certified Non-profit Accounting Professional (CNAP) credential, and an MBA from The George Washington University.

Donte Shannon, FASAE, CAE, made has transitioned out of the CEO role to pursue other opportunities.
