Video: Minnetonka’s urban wood reclamation project

Count Minnetonka, Minnesota, among municipalities across the nation seeking after-life uses for trees lost to the emerald ash borer and other pest-induced diseases.

Minnetonka’s forestry team recently held a workshop with representatives of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and other community arborists to explore opportunities to reclaim some of those stricken trees to convert into lumber and other value-added products.
