LAS VEGAS --  Industrial exoskeletons, robotics and exotic new materials and manufacturing techniques are just a few of the subjects that will be addressed by a panel that looks at short- and long-term trends in the woodworking industry. The panel is part of the all-day Woodworking Network Under 40 Leadership Conference to be held July 16 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, the day before the AWFS Fair opens.  Inspired by Woodworking Network’s 40 Under 40 program, the Under 40 Leadership Conference is aimed at current and future woodworking industry leaders and any executive who wants to get up to speed with the latest in technology, management and marketing in today’s fast changing business environment.
Ben Harrington, V.P. of Sales and Business Development for the venture capital firm, suitX, will discuss the use of exoskeletons in woodworking.  The company said it is the world’s most advanced shoulder supporting exoskeleton for use by automotive, construction, and shipbuilding workers. shoulderX augments its wearer by reducing forces at the shoulder complex, substantially reducing the risk of shoulder injuries and increasing work place productivity.
The Woodworking Network Under 40 Leadership Conference is sponsored by Hexagon and Timber Products and moderated by Harry Urban, publisher of Woodworking Network.  Followed by the Woodworking Network Leadership Reception at 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m., which introduces the Woodworking Network 40 under 40 Class of 2019.  All July 16 program registrations include education sessions, lunch and Woodworking Network Leadership Reception.
