MADISON, WI - Vendura Solid Surfaces, a major player in the Midwest, has its sights set on expanding its health care business nationally.
The company which services residential, commercial and health care customers has already placed a sales representatives in Nashville, TN, a hub for hospital designers and groups. The company intends to aggressively seek out more business in the South and Southeast, according to a report in the Wisconsin Journal.
"2013 is going to be a big year for us," Bart Klotzbach, owner and CEO of Vendura, told the Journal.
Vendura is looking to make its moved into southern markets in spite of having to cut its workforce in half from a high of 60 before the start of the Great Recession. The company hopes its strategy to expand its market reach will result in hiring more fabricators and other personnel.
Vendura uses Silestone to produce a wide variety of products including countertops, sinks and conference tables. The company also represents Bertch Cabinets.
Vendura was founded in the mid 1960s as Venetian Marble of Madison, a franchise cultured marble manufacturer.The company began fabricating solid surface materials in 1988.
