WHITE HOUSE, Tenn. – Tate Ornamental announced plans to invest $12 million to expand its manufacturing operations, creating 50 new jobs. Headquartered in White House, Tennessee, the company specializes in ornamental metalwork, architectural woodwork, as well as stone, quartz, and porcelain countertops.
Founded in 1988, the family-owned and operated company is a one-stop shop for design, fabrication, installation, and freight. It said the additional staff and investment will increase millwork production capacity by allowing for the construction of a state-of-the-art facility close to its existing metal and stone plants. Construction should be underway, with operations targeted to begin in January of 2027. Upon completion of the expansion, Tate Ornamental will employ approximately 250 people in Robinson County.
The news was jointly announced by Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee, Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter, and Tate Ornamental Inc. officials on June 25.
“Tennessee is shaped by the brands that call our state home, especially family-owned and operated companies like Tate Ornamental. I’m proud to announce this expansion that brings 50 new jobs to families across Robertson County and thank Tate Ornamental for its continued investment in our highly skilled workforce,” stated Gov. Lee.
Ronald J. Tate, president of Tate Ornamental, said, “We feel incredibly blessed to be in a position where growth is necessary, and we couldn’t be more excited to continue that growth right here in White House. While we do work all over the country and had the option to expand elsewhere, choosing to invest again in our hometown was an easy decision. White House has been a foundation for our company for many years, and we’re proud to keep building here, creating jobs here and continuing to be part of this community’s future."
“Companies always have a choice in where they choose to do business," added TNECD Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter. "[We] are excited to announce Tate Ornamental’s decision to further invest in White House, Tennessee. We thank this company for its continued commitment to the Volunteer State and the local leadership across Robertson County who have worked diligently to set this community up for new jobs and investment.”
