Planner 5D, a a home design tool that allows users to create 2D and 3D designs for their homes, revealed a recent study that shows 85.4% of interior designers are using AI to design their homes, with 29.7% incorporating it into their weekly routine.
Here are some of the top findings:
• Over 85% use AI when designing their homes.
• 3D visualization and rendering dominate AI applications in home design.
• An overwhelming majority (79.7%) want an AI tool to suggest designs based on their intended emotional impact.
• 73% want to use voice-activated assistants like Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant when designing homes.
The future of AI in interior design is bright. Over two-thirds (73%) of people indicate that they would use AI design tools more frequently if they could integrate them with existing personal AI assistants, like Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. This would enable them to provide design preferences verbally and receive real-time feedback or suggestions from the AI tool.
