LAS VEGAS — Students from across the nation entered the 2025 Fresh Wood competition. Forty finalists had their projects on display at the AWFS Fair.
This year’s competition were divided into two sections - high school and post secondary - and featured pieces in five categories: , Tables, Case Goods, Design for Production, Seating (post secondary only) and Open.
In all categories, first place winners won $1,000, second place won $500, and Honorable Mentions won $250. The People's Choice Award won $750 and Best of Show won $1,000. Post secondary winners of Case Goods, Design for Production, and Best of Show also won a KCD Software Package.
Wood industry experts judged the finalists, and prizes were awarded on Thursday, July 24, at the AWFS Fair Live Stage.
