The Morbielli n100 is one of more than a dozen machines that will be demonstrated at WMS by SCM Canada.

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario – SCM Canada will present a full complement of woodworking machinery ranging from products for the small custom shop to high-production factories at the Woodworking Machinery & Supply Conference & Expo. WMS takes place Oct. 31 to Nov 2 at the International Centre.

SCM will conduct demonstrations of more than a dozen machines under power throughout all three days of the show at WMS booths #2719 and #2727. In addition, SCM will showcase the Maestro Smartech glasses, which enable interactive communications between customer machine opereators and SCM service technicians. The augmented reality glasses incorporate video functions, video camera, microphone and speakers equipped with a wireless connection. Smartech glasses combined with special management software let SCM experts diagnose and solve problems in real time.

Woodworking machines that SCM plans to exhibit include:

Class px 350i horizontal panel saw with mobile carriage and up to 46° tiltable blade. The space-saving saw frees up to 50% shop floor space compared to a traditional circular saw. The machine’s rigid structure facilitates cutting up veneered or solid wood panels at 90° or tilted up to 46°.

Olimpic k 560 edgebander with air fusion is designed for companies requiring to process many panels per day even though they may be different from one to another. The hybrid edgebander can either apply edgebanding using EVA and polyurethane glues or without glue using hot air technology to produce an invisible joint between the edge and the panel. SCM will also display the Olimpic K230 and Olimpic K360 edgebanders. (See video below.)

Morbidelli n100 is a machining centre designed and engineered for machining wood, plastics and non-ferrous metals. The machine’s Pro-Space safety systems are integrated onto the machine, reducing floor space otherwise occupied by perimeter protections. This allows operator access from all sides of the machine to place panels or small components on the work table.

L'invincibile si 3 electronic saw is an electronic-programmed circular saw with tilting blade to execute difficult cuts. The saw is equipped with an easy-to-use touchscreen that controls all machine functions, helping the operator avoid making mistakes.

DMC sd 30 is designed for small woodworking companies who need the ability to do solid wood calibrating and sanding, as well as sanding of veneered panels. The availability of the electronic sectional pad on the model with 1,100mm working width also provides the sanding operations also on honey-comb veneered panels. The machine’s intuitive Logic SC electronic programmer allows the operator to set all processing parameters in sequence and then launch them with the touch of a button. The controller can also store various work programs to retrieve the machine settings most commonly used. SCM will also display the smaller DMC sd 10.

In addition to panel processing technology, SCM will feature the Formula vf dust extractor and several classical woodworking machines including:
