MOCKSVILLE,  N.C. — While SBA Home has been producing furniture at its Mocksville, North Carolina, factory since November of 2025, it recently held its official grand opening Feb. 26.

SBA Group, one of the largest business groups in Lithuania, has officially opened its SBA Home furniture manufacturing facility in Mocksville. With a total investment of more than $70 million, the SBA Home North Carolina factory is the largest Lithuanian business investment in the United States to date.

While the opening marks a major milestone for the company’s U.S. operations, SBA Group is already preparing for the next stage of growth. The factory currently employs around 100 people, with plans to gradually expand operations and increase the workforce to approximately 250 employees in the near future.

“At this moment, the factory is operating on one shift, and we have already started hiring employees for a second,” said Jurgita Radzevičė, CEO of SBA Home. “In the near future, we plan to further expand production and hire additional employees. This project is a significant step in SBA Group’s development in the U.S., and we see strong long-term potential here.”

As additional shifts are introduced, the factory is expected to produce more than 2 million pieces of furniture annually. In its first full year of operation, sales are projected to reach approximately $40 million, with growth expected as production ramps up.

“Our focus now is on stabilizing operations and building strong local teams,” said Angelika Matczak, CEO of SBA Home North Carolina. “As we add shifts, we will continue to create new manufacturing jobs and invest in employee training to ensure the long-term success of the facility.”

Innovation is a central element of SBA Home’s manufacturing strategy. During the opening ceremony, the company marked the occasion with a digital ribbon-cutting instead of a traditional one, reflecting its commitment to advanced manufacturing technologies, automation, and modern production processes. The approach also symbolized the connection between Lithuanian, Swedish and American manufacturing cultures within SBA Group’s global operations.

North Carolina was selected as the location for SBA Group’s first U.S. factory due to its strong furniture manufacturing heritage, strategic logistics infrastructure, proximity to raw material suppliers, and skilled workforce. The state’s favorable investment environment continues to support SBA Group’s long-term growth plans in the region.
