MONTREAL -- AbitibiBowater, a publicly traded wood products and paper manufacture (NYSE: ABH) (TSX: ABH)r, formally rolled out its new identity as Resolute Forest Products.
"The launch of our new identity, Resolute Forest Products, underscores our forward momentum," stated Richard Garneau, president and CEO. "Our 10,000 employees are united and ready to deliver on Resolute's vision of continued sustainability and profitability."
All corporate marketing and communications have switched to the new name and logo; the AbitibiBowater name will remain affixed to all subsidiaries pending shareholder approval as required by law at the company's 2012 annual general meeting.
Resolute Forest Products owns or operates 18 pulp and paper mills and 24 wood products facilities in the United States, Canada and South Korea.
