SOLON, Ohio — Omnova Films and Laminates will rebrand as Surteco effective Aug. 1.  The change follows the 2023 acquisition of Omnova by Surteco, and is part of the company's strategic move toward operational consolidation and a consistent brand identity. 

The rebranding will allow customers to source all their needs from a single company, represented by one sales representative across all product lines, the company said. Surteco is a decor print, foil, adhesives, and edgebanding manufacturer, with seven manufacturing sites across North America.

The company said it already has had several achievements as a consolidated organization, including the launch of the Sphera Super Matte Collection of decorative surfaces. Additionally, Surteco recently announced a major investment in a new rotogravure printing press which the company said will not only enhance production efficiency but also expand its capacity to deliver high-quality, customized solutions.

"We are ready for this new chapter and are confident that it will be an investment that allows us to deliver customer-centric solutions with the same reliability and excellence that Omnova was known for, now enhanced by the global support of the Surteco name," said Surteco North America CEO Terry Hemmelgarn.

Upcoming developments include the launch of a new website dedicated to Surteco North America, with enhanced sales resources and tailored tools. 

Surteco will have its products and designs on display at IWF 2024.
