November cabinet sales up 8.3%

RESTON, Va. - Cabinet sales rose 8.3% in November 2020 compared to the previous year's figures, marking another month of year-over-year growth for the industry. According to participating members in the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association's monthly Trend of Business Survey, custom sales were up 3.8%, semi-custom rose 6.3% and stock sales increased 10.6% compared to the same period in 2019.

Although sales dropped 9.2% compared to October figures, year-to-date cabinetry sales through November are up 1.2%. Stock sales are up 4.7%, although custom and semi-custom sales were down 1.1% and 3.1% respectively.

The KCMA Trend of Business Survey participants include stock, semi-custom, and custom companies whose combined sales represent approximately 75% of the U.S. kitchen cabinet and bath vanity market. KCMA is a major trade association for kitchen cabinet and bath vanity manufacturers and key suppliers of goods and services to the industry. The association has been compiling and reporting industry sales data for more than 40 years.
