According to the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association’s (KCMA) monthly Trend of Business Survey, participating cabinet manufacturers reported an increase in overall cabinet sales of 20.0% for May 2022 compared to the same month in 2021.
May 2022 sales increases over May 2021:
- Overall sales up 20.0%
- Custom sales up 20.9%
- Semi-custom up 15.4%
- Stock sales up by 23.0%
- Estimated cabinet quantity decreased 0.8%
Along with the strong YOY numbers, the month-to-month comparison was also bullish (May 2022 to April 2022):
- Overall sales up 8.0%
- Custom sales up 4.1%
- Semi-custom up 4.0%
- Stock sales up 11.7%
- Estimated cabinet quantity up 0.6%
Survey participants include stock, semi-custom and custom companies whose combined sales represent approximately 75% of the U.S. kitchen cabinet and bath vanity market. KCMA is the major trade association for kitchen cabinet and bath vanity manufacturers and key suppliers of goods and services to the industry. KCMA has been compiling and reporting industry sales data for more than forty years.
