Frontier Woodworks, a Francis, Utah-based custom millwork and door business that has served the community since 1995, caught fire July 24 and fire officials believe the company's main building is expected to be a "near total loss."

According to KPCW in Salt Lake City, fire crews from the communities of South Summit, with assistance from Park City and Wasatch County, contained the flames to Frontier Woodworks' shop, florist building, and temporary structures out back.

South Summit Fire Chief Scott Thorell told KPCW that it took two hours to get the fire under control, and the company's structures suffered more than $1 million in damage. Fire crews, he said, were able to save Frontier Woodwork’s Spring Hollow Road showroom and contain the flames to the company’s property.

“The front side looks pretty normal,” the chief told KPCW. “But if you step through the front business door, the rafters — the roofing system — is sagging, and about half of that area will have to come down.”
