TACOMA, Wash. — Johnson’s Millwork, located along South Tacoma Way, caught fire Sunday night and burned into Monday morning.

According to the Tacoma Fire Department, the fire started just after 6:30 p.m. on Sunday. 12 hours later, flames were still visible inside the building. Fire crews decided on a defensive operation after the fire burned heavily in the basement and the roof collapsed overnight. No other buildings were set on fire since crews kept them saturated with water.

Tacoma Fire Department reported that one firefighter was injured and taken to the hospital on Sunday night, but they are expected to be okay with just a minor injury.
