PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Interprint USA has completed a $22 million, 57,000 square-foot expansion of its Pittsfield, Massachusetts facility, adding two state-of-the-art printing presses to its manufacturing operations. These expanded capabilities are now fully operational and have raised the company’s production capacity by 30 percent.
The twin 5-foot-wide Jagenberg printing presses feature near-infrared drying systems and can support printing speeds of up to 250 meters per minute. They are equipped to print on a variety of substrates for the production of a wide range of decorative overlays used for flooring, furniture, and other products. From an earlier investment, Interprint has been successfully operating an identical press since the first quarter of 2024.
According to Interprint, the new presses, powered entirely by electricity, reflect the company's commitment to smarter, more sustainable production and a forward-thinking investment in the future.
“This expansion ensures we have the capacities to stay ahead of customer needs while maintaining the quality and service we’re known for,” said Interprint USA CEO, Manoj Vengalil. “We’re investing not just in technology, but in the future of our customers and our team,” he added.
This investment comes as Interprint celebrates its 40th year in the United States, and "fortifies the company’s legacy of innovation and growth in the development and delivery of high-value products well into the future."
Headquartered in Arnsberg, Germany, and founded in 1969, Interprint has been part of the Japanese Toppan Group since November 2019. The Interprint Group operates nine production sites across Germany, Poland, the USA, Malaysia, China, Russia, Brazil, and Spain, with sales offices in Italy, Türkiye, South Africa, and China.
