Flokk, a leading seating furniture manufacturer in Europe, announced its expansion into the United States and North America with the establishment of Flokk US.
Flokk, based in Norway, has had a presence in the U.S. for at least the last several years. In 2019, the company purchased 9to5 Seating, and then in 2024 it purchased commercial furnishings manufacturer Stylex.
Flokk US, the new parent company for Stylex and 9to5 Seating in the United States, is projected to become the company’s largest revenue-generating division. By maintaining each brand’s uniqueness, Flokk expects the North America to contribute one-third of total company revenue, further solidifying its global presence.
As part of this strategic expansion, Flokk has appointed a leadership team to oversee the North American operations, including Frederik Fogstad as chief executive officer, Randi Pastrovic as chief creative officer, and Rich Oliver as chief commercial officer. This new team brings a wealth of expertise to ensure each brand within the Flokk portfolio retains its distinct identity while advancing Flokk’s growth in the North American market, the company says.
Fogstad, who joined Flokk in 2013, has been instrumental in expanding Flokk’s presence beyond Europe, including the U.S. He brings decades of experience from previous roles at Kellogg’s and Coca-Cola, and most recently served as CEO of 9to5 Seating. His leadership will guide Flokk US through this transformative expansion.
Joining Fogstad is Randi Pastrovic, current Senior Vice President of Stylex, who will step into the role of Chief Creative Officer of Flokk US. With over 20 years of experience in the commercial interiors industry, including five years at Stylex, Pastrovic will bring her leadership and creative expertise to shape Flokk’s U.S. product and marketing strategy.
Rich Oliver, previously Chief Commercial Officer of 9to5 Seating, completes the executive team as the new Chief Commercial Officer of Flokk US. With over 25 years of sales management experience in the contract furniture industry, Oliver’s track record of driving revenue and building high-performing teams will be pivotal in advancing Flokk US’s sales strategy.
"This new Flokk US leadership team brings valuable global insights and a deep understanding of our portfolio’s brand identities,” said Fogstad. “I am eager to build Flokk US as a curated collection of the industry’s best commercial brands and work alongside this exceptional team.”
