This project marks Chelsea Building Products’ third manufacturing site, and their second facility in Pennsylvania.

OAKMONT, Pa. Chelsea Building Products recently broke ground on a new 228,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. The project will increase production capacity for the company’s PVC window and door profiles, as well as space for blending compound materials.

Once completed, the facility will feature insulated precast construction, 100-foot by 50-foot bays in the production areas, 32-foot clear height, 10 fully equipped dock positions, and a 10,000-amp electrical service. The facility’s design also accommodates a potential future expansion of approximately 170,000 square feet.

This project marks Chelsea Building Products’ third manufacturing site, and their second facility in Pennsylvania. The company’s other plant is in Greenville, Texas.

“Chelsea Building Products is excited to continue with its aggressive expansion plans by opening a second facility in Pennsylvania,” said Peter Dewil, president and CEO of Chelsea Building Products. “This facility will give us the opportunity to increase our capacity to meet the ever-growing demand for our products. It will also improve efficiencies by bringing manufacturing and warehousing under a single roof. We are also thrilled to be bringing more job opportunities to the Westmoreland County community.”

Founded in 1975, Chelsea Building Products designs and extrudes PVC and composite profiles for the building materials market used in windows, doors, shutters, moldings, and Everlast Advanced Composite Siding.
