Builders FirstSource (BFS) has announced the acquisition of Truckee Tahoe Lumber Company (TTL), a family-owned business that has served the Northern Sierra-Nevada region since 1931.

Details of the transaction were not released.

TTL, the company says, has built a stellar reputation for providing high-quality lumber, building materials, and expert design services across its seven locations. Local leadership will remain in place, ensuring continuity and a seamless transition.

The company has six locations: a corporate headquarters in Reno, Nevada, a design center and a lumberyard in Truckee, California, a Reno/Sparks lumberyard & door shop, a Next phase lumber & production yard in McCarran, Nevada, and a retail store & lumberyard in Tahoe City, California.

Builders FirstSource has grown substantially through acquisitions including 8 such deals in 2024. In February of this year, the company acquired Pennsylvania-based O.C. Cluss Lumber & Building Supplies. The company distributes a range of products, including cabinets and countertops, decking and landscaping, doors, drywall and accessories, lumber, manufactured components and moulding and millwork.
