ASID and USGBC to Release Nation’s First Green Residential Remodeling Guidelines

WASHINGTON — The American Society of Interior Designers Foundation and the U.S. Green Building Council on Jan. 30 announced the upcoming release of the nation’s first sustainable residential remodeling guidelines at the annual ASID conference INTERIORS 08

The REGREEN program is a series of guidelines designed for use by residential designers, construction professionals and homeowners alike. REGREEN includes best practices, learning programs and print and electronic resources for those looking to green up an existing home, whether room by room or an entire house. A Web site is also in development that will house all REGREEN related resources and include interactive links to case studies, products and educational materials.

Details of the program will be announced during the press conference at INTERIORS 08 on Friday, March 14, and a complete copy of the final guidelines will be distributed. INTERIORS 08 attendees will also have the opportunity to attend a REGREEN workshop. Media interested in attending the press conference or the workshop should contact [email protected] for press credentials.
