BAYPORT, Minn. — Andersen Corp., a manufacturer of windows and doors, announced it is acquiring Minnesota Weatherization Specialists (MWS) of Shakopee, Minnesota.
Andersen said the acquisition of MWS will lead to the introduction of new installation services in the Twin Cities available for new and remodel residential projects sold through select existing Andersen dealers. Founded in 2014, MWS has been a dealer and installer of Andersen products.
According to Andersen, the introduction of this new installation service is in response to increased demand from builders and contractors for professional window and door installation. By adding MWS’s experienced installers, Andersen said it can accelerate and scale its installation services offering to existing dealer customers. MWS’s remaining residential dealer business will be transitioned to other local dealers.
“The installation teams joining Andersen through this acquisition are highly trained expert installers with extensive experience installing Andersen products,” said Chris Galvin, chairman and CEO of Andersen. “We look forward to welcoming these expert installers to our growing team of internal installation services providers as we introduce this new value-add service offering to our residential building customers, making installation easier and creating new opportunities for growth.”
Andersen is ranked No. 3 in the latest FDMC list of North America’s largest wood products companies based on annual sales of $3.6 billion.
