FAIRFAX, Vt. -  One of Vermont's largest millwork plants is being sold at auction. Unable to secure a buyer for the factories intact, CRG Auction will sell the assets including real estate on Thursday, September 29.
 
In 2011, Amoskeag Woodworking, at the time one of Vermont's largest cabinet and millworking shops, acquired Morse Hardwoods & Millwork Co. in Essex Junction, including its large millwork in Fairfax, Vermont. The Vermont Economic Development Authority extended two loans for the transaction:  $396,000 for the real estate and another $142,000 for machinery and equipment.

CRG Auction will be conducting a secured party sale of all of the assets including the real estate formerly of Amoskeag Woodworking and Morse Hardwoods & Millwork. The live and online auction will take place on Thursday, September 29th at 10:00 AM in Fairfax, Vermont.

Inspection of the premises will be held on Wednesday, September 28th. Machinery for sale includes: CNC Routers; Planers & Sanders; cut-off, gang and straight line rip saws; Riptomizer and Optimizing Systems; horizontal resaw, notching and table saws; bank, upcut and miter saws; through-feed moulders; jointers and edge sanders; profile grinders and shapers; edgebanders; borers and routers; Optisizing System & Clamp Carriers; scrap grinders; finishing equipment; material handling equipment; rolling stock; dust collection system; air compressors; and the maintenance shop.
