84 Lumber named to 2019 Inc. 5000 list

EIGHTY FOUR, Pa. – 84 Lumber has been named to the 2019 Inc. 5000 list for the first time in the company’s history.

Now in its 37th year, the Inc. list ranks the nation’s fastest-growing private companies based on percentage sales growth, with minimum revenues of $100,000 and $2 million required for 2015 and 2018, respectively. 84 Lumber achieved a 54% increase in revenue during that time period.

“Being named to the Inc. 5000 list is an incredible accomplishment for our company and associates,” said Maggie Hardy, president of 84 Lumber. “It’s further proof that all of the hard work we’ve done in recent years to expand our services, enhance our technology, and improve customer experience has really paid off. We’re truly better than ever, and I’m excited for what lies ahead.”

Since last October, 84 Lumber has also been named one of America’s largest private companies and one of America’s best large employers, both by Forbes.

Founded in 1956 and headquartered in Eighty Four, Pennsylvania, 84 Lumber Co. is the nation’s leading privately held supplier of building materials, manufactured components and industry-leading services for single- and multi-family residences and commercial buildings. The company operates approximately 250 stores, component manufacturing plants, custom door shops, custom millwork shops and engineered wood product centers in more than 30 states. 84 Lumber also offers turnkey installation services for a variety of products, including framing, insulation, siding, windows, roofing, decking and drywall. A certified national women’s business enterprise owned by Maggie Hardy, 84 Lumber was named by Forbes as one of America’s Largest Private Companies in 2018 and one of America’s Best Large Employers in 2019.
