Parkersburg, WV -- Woodworkers in three states celebrated Christmas early with brand new SawStop table saws they won in the Woodcraft & SawStop “Finger Saver Sweepstakes” drawing held in November. Winners were selected randomly from among the 32,168 sweepstakes entries.

Greg Roberts of Lubbock, Texas, won the grand prize, a SawStop 3 HP Industrial Saw with a 52" fence, board and legs, valued at $3,637. Second and third place winners, respectively, are: LaVern Skarzenski of North East, Pennsylvania (SawStop 1.75 HP Pro Saw with a premium fence, valued at $2,299), and William Vanatta of Aurora, Illinois (SawStop Contractor Saw with 30" aluminum fence, valued at $1,599.99). Woodcraft accepted sweepstakes entries at stores, online and by mail from August 1 through October 31.

During interviews the three men were asked what prompted them to enter the contest. “Who wouldn’t want a SawStop saw? The SawStop brand is the Cadillac of saws; it is a well built machine (even without the safety feature),” Roberts said. “When you have a top-notch tool like a SawStop, you just want to do better work.”

“I do have a table saw now,” Skarzenski said, “but it sure can be a challenge at times to cut larger pieces and the miter gauge and fence leave a lot to be desired, though I did only pay $99 for it brand new. The SawStop will be a welcome addition to my workshop.”

Vanatta, who has been working primarily with a 35-year-old radial-arm saw for many years said, “I knew that I would eventually need a table saw and have read numerous reviews about the different brands and models. I don’t plan on ever testing the added safety feature that SawStop offers, but it will be comforting to know that my saw has that feature.”

“Woodcraft is pleased to partner with SawStop to afford three woodworkers the opportunity to own these popular saws that feature state-of-the art safety technology and top quality performance,” Woodcraft President Jeff Forbes said. “Woodcraft is all about helping woodworkers improve their skills, and the better the tools, the better the results.”

Woodcraft is the industry leader in providing a wide variety of top quality products, educational opportunities and one-on-one guidance to woodworkers of all skill levels.
