Wood industry professionals from across North America were hosted on SCM's 2011 Windows+Doors technology tour, including Woodworking Network publisher Laurel Didier (third from right).

RIMINI, ITALY

- A very large attendance was at the recent SCM Group's Technology Days Doors+Windows: 1200 door and window manufacturers from all over the World (Germany, UK, Belgium, Belarus, Portugal Switzerland, Romania, USA, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Netherlands, Spain, France, Tunisia and also many from Italy), visited Rimini (Italy) from the 23rd to the 26th of March, to discover the latest SCM Group technologies for door and window production.

Technical presentations, demonstrations in the new showroom and 3D concept viewings were run during each day of the show to let customers understand the latest SCM Group hi-technology solutions for the entire production processes for doors and windows.

Four webcams were online on our website to film the event daily, so even those who hadn’t the opportunity to take part in the event, could "breathe" the atmosphere. The videos of the demonstrations, aired live during the Technology Days, are still online at: http://www.scmgroup.it/live/index.asp

On Saturday the 26th March, the program was enriched by the first "talk show" about doors and windows. This new event was greatly appreciated by the attendees as a good opportunity to talk about different topics related to their market sector, in an informal way.

On the stage were Luca Rossetti, Xylon Editor, as the chairman and five guests, members of some of the most important Italian companies in their field: Claudio Bussi from Bussi, Erio Cavazzoni from Cormo, Maurizio Campini from Fail, Giancarlo Cinci from MC Infissi and Gianfranco Danese from Danese.
