Deerfield, Ill.—Pregis Corp. has moved its IntelliPack foam-in-place (FIP) operations to a new, larger facility in Tulsa, Okla. The move is being made to accommodate increased demand for the company’s state-of-the-art FIP equipment.
“We acquired IntelliPack earlier this year because we believe in the brand’s cutting-edge technology, service platform and knowledgeable staff. In a very short period of time, we have been able to integrate the product line into the Pregis portfolio, which has increased exposure for IntelliPack’s superior foam-in-place capability. Increased demand for its value added technical solutions has led the way to a rise in sales,” said Kevin Baudhuin, president, Pregis Protective Packaging North America.
The move also will enable all IntelliPack operations to be housed under one roof—manufacturing, package design lab, distributor/customer training and showroom. Previously, the functions had been split into two Tulsa locations.
“Pregis already has had a tremendous impact on turning IntelliPack into a world-class manufacturing operation. The company has taken IntelliPack’s unique foam-in-place technology and injected industrial engineers and lean manufacturing consultants to make sure that we create an infrastructure that produces superior equipment in an efficient and cost-effective manner,” explains Todd Hanna, vice president and general manager of Pregis’ FIP systems.
