Kreg Tool Donates Routers for Tools for Opportunity

Des Moines, Iowa - Kreg Tool Company, (www.kregtool.com) based in Huxley, Iowa, has donated ten of their benchtop router tables and ten Triton routers to Tools for Opportunity. Kreg Tool manufacturers tools and accessories for woodworkers and sells their products worldwide. Kreg Tool is also the sole U.S. distributor of Triton products (www.tritontools.com).

Craig Sommerfeld, founder of Kreg Tool also serves on the Board of Directors for Tools for Opportunity. He has traveled to Central America and has seen firsthand the difficulties local craftsmen face in producing woodworking products. The craftsmen often make do with tools they have fashioned from scrap material.

"These craftsman are extremely creative and talented. I believe that if we can provide them with quality woodworking tools and teach them how to use them, they can more easily support their families and have a positive influence in their communities," Sommerfeld said.

The router tables and routers have been shipped to El Salvador and are awaiting the arrival of a group from Tools for Opportunity. The group will be presenting a two-day seminar to the local craftsman to teach them how to use the tools and grow their business.

Tools for Opportunity is a tax-exempt 501(3)(c) non-profit organization founded by Gene Pedersen.
