Stanley, NC – Blum’s new Servo-Drive for Aventos touch-to-open lift system for upper cabinets has been awarded ADEX’s Platinum award for design excellence. ADEX, which stands for Awards for Design Excellence, is sponsored by Design Journal.

Blum has launched its Servo-Drive for Aventos electronic opening system for lift doors to its network of 150+ distributor locations. Servo-Drive has been available for Blum’s drawer systems for some time but now that same impressive touch-to-open feature is available for upper cabinets as well.

Just a light touch of the door and it opens upward, lifting the door(s) up and out of the way. A wireless switch closes the door and is typically mounted at the bottom of the cabinet for easy reach. Aventos doors were already feather-light when opening and closing, however with this new addition they open with just a touch – making Servo-Drive a great solution for universal design.

Servo-Drive motors are easily attached to the Aventos lift mechanism without any tools. They share the same transformer used by Servo-Drive for drawers which makes planning an entire touch-to-open kitchen a uncomplicated.
