GRANDVILLE, MI -- Belwith-Keeler, a leading designer and manufacturer of decorative and functional hardware, is introducing a new concept in interior and exterior lighting, Light Integrated Trim (LIT), at KBIS 2012. LIT and other innovative new products will be showcased in Booth #1731.
LIT is designed for multiple indoor and outdoor applications where design, finish and lighting functionality are essential to the decorative element. The inspiration for the LIT system is based on the market’s need for enhancing home décor and ambiance, specifically, the need to combine an illuminated decorative trim with many other traditional decorative trim choices in order to deliver: Enhanced decorative accent; coordinated decorative hardware style and finish; and functional and/or decorative illumination using LED technology.
This modular system is highly flexible to accommodate many different indoor and outdoor applications, including crown molding, decorative trim, baseboard, cabinet & backsplash, stair railings, cove, recessed ceilings and porch & deck railings.
Contrary to plain LED strip applications, which are very labor intensive and limited in home décor use, the LIT system gives the designer unprecedented flexibility and choices while eliminating the typical LED field-application issues for the installer. The patent-pending special housing strips and connectors can be used to achieve a contiguous strip of any desired length while maintaining uniform light intensity, similar to neon lighting strips. The system’s modularity, safe low voltage, highly efficient light and 50,000 of hours of life at a fraction of the cost of neon light strips make it unique.
“Light Integrated Trim is the latest example of Belwith-Keeler bringing unique, cutting edge products to the home décor market,” said John Veleris, Belwith CEO. “We look forward to demonstrating this new technology and its many applications at KBIS 2012.”
