As recently unveiled at KBIS 2014, Lumisplash is an illuminated backsplash that uses the FusionTech process on LuxCore (a translucent FRP). Lumisplash is the first ultrathin illuminated backsplash panel system with no air gap required for LEDs.

“There is no other product on the market that combines the size, price point and design capabilities of Lumisplash,” says ATI president Tara Burgio.

The ultrathin (3/8”) surface features even illumination throughout the image and it’s dimmable, so it can perform as a task or night light. And at an estimated retail price of $75/square foot, it’s also an affordable choice for designers and architects.

Lumisplash is created using ATI’s proprietary FusionTech process on translucent FRP, where images are embedded directly into the substrate. It creates a high abrasion, chemical, scratch and stain resistant surface appropriate for residential or commercial applications.

Many designs are available in the stock program (abstracts, scenery, tile, granite) and custom designs can also be produced. Virtually any image can be used at no extra cost.

Installation is simple. Lumisplash can be fabricated to size on the job site and designs can be changed out at low cost once system is installed. Available in standard heights of 16 inches and 24 inches, and standard lengths of 48 inches and 96 inches. Custom lengths can be made to order, or they can be field cut to smaller sizes.
