MONTREAL -- Resolute Forest Products Inc. announced that Hugues Simon is rejoining the company as president of its wood products division effective March 1.

Simon, most recently president of BarretteWood Inc., previously worked for Resolute and its predecessor companies for seven years in corporate and division-based functions. He will report to Remi Lalonde, who is being promoted from CFO to president and CEO of Resolute.

Simon, a graduate of Sherbrooke University, is a certified public accountant.
