CHICAGO - The Window and Door Manufacturers Association (WDMA) has released the WDMA 2016 Entry Door U.S. Market Study. This report provides data and insights needed to understand the industry's performance, key trends, and future direction. The report is based on extensive industry input for product shipments in 2015 and was prepared, researched and analyzed by Metrostudy, a Hanley Wood company.

This report delivers timely information on residential entry door market trends and product relationships; historic data for 2013 and 2014, and forecast data for 2016 through 2018. Forecasts are based on projections of construction activity as of May 2016.

Shipments of entry doors saw a nominal rate of growth of 0.5% in 2015 to 9.89 million units. Looking forward, the near term forecast calls for shipments of entry doors to decrease 6% in 2016, 7% in 2017, and 10% in 2018.

This study is available for purchase at the WDMA Online Store.

The WDMA 2016 Entry Door U.S. Market Study is available to purchase online in the WDMA bookstore at www.wdma.com. The WDMA 2016 Window and Patio Door U.S. Market Study is also available and the WDMA 2016 Architectural Door U.S. Market Study will be released later in September.
