In August, Champion System Built Homes of Tennessee will complete a project in Lake Charles, Louisiana providing twenty-four modular homes to a local builder developing affordable housing in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. The homes are being placed in two different communities, with each community containing both Champion modular homes and homes built on site.
Two home plans, a 1,750 sq. ft. 3-bedroom and a 1,900 sq. ft. 4-bedroom, were produced by Championâs Tennessee facility. Both models, designed for narrow lots, include charming front porches, 9â ceilings, and in some cases, builder-completed brick exteriors.
âModular homes were the ideal solution for this project,â said Michael Williams, Sales Manager for Champion System Built Homes of Tennessee. âThe local builder had a tight timeline to complete the project and we were able to work with him to meet his needs. It has been a good working relationship, and they recognized the benefits of using modular housing. With that in mind, they have plans to use our homes in their upcoming projects.â
