CHARLOTTE, NC – Rembe, developer of explosion protection systems for manufacturing facilities, has developed a flameless explosion pressure relief system for metal dusts used in powder coating wood and other materials.

Rembe says its Q-Rohr-3-6T was designed in accordance with revisions to the DIN EN 14373 standard, making the Q-Rohr-3-6T a candidate for flameless pressure relief of dust collectors and conveyers in interior spaces.

“The need for costly, labor-intensive vent ducting for directing explosions outside is negated,” Rembe says, due to the Q-Rohr-3-6T’s flame entrapment and dust retention capabilities, though periodic visual inspections are necessary.
