The Web site of the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Assn., kcma.org, provides a user-friendly interface for accessing information and links pertaining to the cabinet industry.
The Web site features a color-coded navigation tool layout, with a scrolling photography header and introductory paragraphs, to make information easier to process and visually stimulating. The KCMA home page is divided into three portals: KCMA Members and Prospective Members; Architects, Designers and Industry Professionals; and Visitors and Homeowners.
Once the portal is selected, users have the option of accessing several of KCMA’s online resources. Members and prospective members can view in-depth information on KCMA’s certification programs: ANSI/KCMA Performance and Construction Standard for Cabinets and the Environmental Stewardship Program (ESP). Also available is information on networking opportunities, including annual meetings and conventions, as well as a listing of suppliers and products and member benefits.
Going beyond this portal, a special Member Login section offers addition resources, including exclusive access to industry research conducted by KCMA, plus access to the KCMA/OSHA Alliance Page containing links to help manufacturers with their safety and health programs.
Designers, architects and homeowners also can find information on KCMA’s certification programs, as well as a complete list of manufacturers and suppliers of certified products. There also is a photo gallery of various cabinet styles and resources for cabinet maintenance in the Consumer Resources area.
Also on the site, a News Center page links visitors to recent press releases, based on subject matter: KCMA’s Trend of Business press releases, government regulatory issues, health and safety initiatives, ESP certification, ANSI certification and KCMA news.
