Groupe LaCasse extends Level certification on its furniture
GreenWizard and BIFMA Form Partnership

SAINT-PIE, Quebec - Commercial furniture manufacturer Groupe Lacasse says a number of its products have met Level 2 certification, the Business & Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association (BIFMA) sustainability certification program for furniture.

In July 2017, Groupe Lacasse met the requirements for Level. "Today, we are proud to announce that our engagement towards becoming an environmentally preferable and socially responsible manufacturer of high-quality products has once again been recognized," the company says.

Several Groupe Lacasse products now meet the requirements for Level 2. The Level certification is an industry-wide voluntary program in which third-party auditors measure the environmental and social impacts of furniture by analyzing best practices in different areas:

  • Material selection
  • Energy usage
  • Company’s social actions
  • Human and ecosystem health impacts

Group LaCasses says its Level 2 certification confirms that Groupe Lacasse makes durable products in respect of the environment, using sustainable business practices that are constantly improving to remain among the best. In return, this certification helps customers make a responsible choice for the environment by choosing products manufactured by Groupe Lacasse.
