BANGALL, N.Y — The Furniture Society, a nonprofit, member-based organization dedicated to advancing the art of furniture making, has announced its 2026 Educational Grant Winners. The Furniture Society Educational Grants Program promotes excellence in the furniture field through financial assistance for professional development or for special projects of an educational nature. The program is open to all current members of the Furniture Society, with the exception of the BIPOC grant for Anderson Ranch Arts Center.
The Furniture Society recognizes the following institutions for providing scholarships and grants in support of the 2026 workshop season:
- Berkeley Beauchot - Pocosin Arts.
- Boyd Boyd - Peters Valley School of Craft.
- Cecelia Emy - Anderson Ranch Arts Center.
- Meredith Metz - John C. Campbell Folk School.
- Sarah Mason - Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts.
"A very special thank you to our Ed Grant jurors - Joshua Enck, Wu Hanyen, and Deirdre Visser," notes the organization. "We are grateful for their time and thoughtfulness in reviewing all the applicants. It was no small feat!"
