The Hoffmann MU3-PD dovetail routing machine can be used in a wide variety of applications including general woodworking, cabinet fabrication, shutter manufacturing, custom picture and mirror frame production, mitered cabinet doors, and architectural millwork.

MANHEIM, Lancaster County, Pa. -- Hoffmann Machine will demonstrate its MU3-PD dovetail routing machine and beaded-face frame system at Wood Pro Expo Lancaster, Oct. 14-15, at the Spooky Nook Sports complex.

The dovetail joining system can be used in a wide variety of applications including general woodworking, cabinet fabrication, shutter manufacturing, custom picture and mirror frame production, mitered cabinet doors, and architectural millwork.

Hoffmann says the machine’s pneumatically controlled operation and digital displays for routing height and keyway locations help assure repeat accuracy. Additional features of the machine include heavy-cast aluminum construction, an ergonomically shaped table surface, precision linear bearings, galvanized steel motor carriage with integrated motor fine adjustment. The dovetail routing machine comes equipped with an air regular installed, W-2 solid carbide router big, standard 45-degree center faceplate, covered parts storage, and toolkit.

The beaded-faced frame system combines a RazorGage positioning system with a chop-saw and a MORSO notching machine. The system is available in different lengths to accommodate face-frame components up to 12 feet long.

According to Hoffmann, the software included with the Combo System enables the operator to layout an average kitchen with 40 openings, cut all stiles and rails and precisely notch all joints in less than half a day. The net result is increased accuracy and shop output, the company says.
