Video: ProStop digital stop and fence system
CHARLOTTE - Accurate Technology’s ProStop is a complete Digital Stop and Fence System for miter saws, chop saws, and similar tools. The company will be exhibiting this and other products in Booth #110 at the co-located Wood Pro Expo Charlotte/Cabinets & Closets Conference & Expo, March 6-8 in the Charlotte Convention Center.

The company says no other manual stop and fence system can match ProStop's repeatability at .001 inches. The system includes an incremental mode with programmable kerf-compensating ability for making repeat cuts. If the user returns to the absolute mode when done, there’s no need to recalibrate system.

A stop can flip up when rough cuts are necessary and with multiple stops able to be used on the same fence, the system features a programmable monitor mode, which can alert the operator if a stop is pushed out of position. It also features a factory-configured and calibrated digital readout that can remember calibration information for five different blades/tools.

The system includes an aluminum fence, a flip stop with fine adjust, double locks mechanism, and two "Quick Set" indexing stops, which the company says are ideal for setting often-used cutting positions. An optional 90/45 degree reversible stop plate, additional stops, readouts, fence extrusions, and other options are also available.

The battery-powered system is configurable for use on the left or right side of the saw and uses the company’s Series II measuring technology. Custom measuring ranges up to 240 inches are available on request while extended ranges above 240 inches are made to order. 2D CAD files are available for all size ranges.
