CHARLOTTE - CNC manufacturer Castaly will display its new Rapid Series 408LN-8R in Booth #611 at the co-located Wood Pro Expo Charlotte/Cabinets & Closets Conference & Expo. The show takes place March 6-8 at the Charlotte Convention Center in North Carolina.
Designed with 3-D cutting capability, the company says the machine is compatible with virtually all CAD/CAM programming software on the market. The PC directly stores all part programs in a text edible file and DXF files are able to be imported, modified, and edited.
Its CNC Control and Operator Interface includes an industrial grade DPS controller with LCD display, and is setup to accept standard G-code programming formats along with conversational applications. It also features a 12 HP router spindle, an eight-position linear ATC, 850W servo drives, and a 51- by 98-inch phenolic matrix grid vacuum table with six independent zones and four pneumatic positioning pins.
The machine boasts a welded and structurally-engineered base and a stress-relieved, heat-treated frame. Its moving gantry bridge travels in the X- and Y-axis via inclined helical rack and pinion rails on hardened and precision ground "HIWIN" rectangle linear guide ways with preloaded bearings. Its tool gantry movement for the vertical Z-axis travels on a one-inch diameter "HIWIN" precision ball-screw with preloaded bearings.
