GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. and CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - For the past 14 years, Stiles Machinery has organized and presented the Executive Briefing Conference (EBC) as a key element of their joint educational platform offering. Launched in 2004, the EBC has attracted hundreds of C-level executives and industry leaders to come together to share ideas and learn about trends and technologies shaping the future of the woodworking industry. To date, the EBC has featured world-class keynoters, case studies and expert industry panels as well as on-site plant tours with some of the industry’s most innovative companies.

Today, Stiles and The Woodworking Network (WWN) jointly announce they have entered into an agreement under which the WWN will present future EBC events as part of their overall educational offerings. Under the arrangement, Stiles Machinery will continue to consult and contribute content related to technological innovations and other subject areas where their expertise is essential. Stiles Machinery will also remain a key sponsor of the program. The Woodworking Network will be responsible for developing the curriculum for the conference, marketing and promoting the event, and handling all logistics to ensure an outstanding attendee experience.

Christian Vollmers, president of Stiles Machinery, said,  “The EBC has been an essential element in the Stiles educational offering ever since its inception. Transferring the responsibilities to the WWN to organize, manage and present future conferences will ensure its future growth and expansion.”

Tim Fixmer, CCI Media CEO and president, said the agreement allows Woodworking Network to accelerate its strategy of delivering vital education to woodworking industry leaders. “The EBC is an ideal fit for our strategic vision and tactical plans. It is a perfect companion for the WWN Leadership Forum which we have been developing for the past two years. We are pleased to take on this new role with the EBC,” Fixmer said.

The next EBC, titled, “Rethink Manufacturing,” is scheduled for April 14-16 in San Jose, California.
