TORRANCE, Calif. — Submissions are open for Doug Mockett & Company’s 40th Annual Design Competition. The company announced that it is seeking the best innovative ideas in furniture parts, components, accessories, and hardware.

The deadline for submissions is September 2. Winners will be announced no later than December 31 and awarded $3,000, an engraved achievement trophy, and royalties from sales of the design.

Competitors can submit their designs by completing an entry form and including a write-up, drawing, or model. Be sure to include a clear write-up about your idea - a drawing is even better, a model is best, the company says.
