GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Cabinet Makers Association (CMA) has released its list of plant tours as part of the 2025 National Conference, which is taking place in Detroit, Michigan. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore some of the industry's leading manufacturing facilities, gaining firsthand insight into best practices, innovative techniques, and cutting-edge technology driving the woodworking sector forward.

These guided tours will include visits to Burke Architectural Millwork, Elliott Woodworking, JB Cutting, Bakes & Kropp, and Richelieu Hardware. Attendees will get a behind-the-scenes look at production processes, materials management, and automation solutions that can be applied to businesses of all sizes.

“We are thrilled to offer exclusive plant tours,” said Randy Niewind, president of the CMA. “These tours are an invaluable experience for attendees to see innovation in action and bring fresh ideas back to their own shops.”

Elliott Woodworking is one of the stops on the CMA plant tour.

In addition to the plant tours, the 2025 National Conference will feature keynote presentations, breakout sessions, and plenty of networking opportunities designed to help woodworking professionals grow their businesses. With Detroit’s rich manufacturing history serving as the backdrop, attendees will gain insights that will set them up for success.

As a prelude to the conference, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in American Red Cross training on Wednesday morning. This training session is available at an additional rate and can be selected during the event registration process.

The conference will officially kick off with the prestigious Wood Diamond Awards ceremony on Wednesday evening at the Westin Book Cadillac. The CMA has secured discounted room rates at the hotel for conference attendees.

The early bird registration rates have been extended through April 30, 2025. This allows more industry professionals the opportunity to take advantage of discounted rates and secure their spot.
